Consolas is a monospaced font designed by Dutch designer Luc(as) de Groot. It is authorized by Microsoft and designed to take advantage of Microsoft’s ClearType font rendering engine. Consolas is the code editing font of choice for many developers.
You can get a free download of Consolas Font here. It’s in the TTF (TrueType) Format and you can use it for personal purposes without paying. For commercial use, you need to buy a license.
