Univers is a traditional Swiss font made by Adrian Frutiger. It came out in 1957, at the same time as two other well-known fonts – Folio and Helvetica. The Univers design is a bit like Helvetica because they both were inspired by the 1896 typeface Akzidenz Grotesk. Univers has a wide range of different weights and widths, which makes it more versatile than Helvetica.
You can get a free download of Univers Font here. It’s in the TTF (TrueType) Format and you can use it for personal purposes without paying. For commercial use, you need to buy a license.
